Frankston City and Chisholm Institute join Committee
Frankston City Council and Chisholm Institute have joined the Committee for Frankston & Mornington Peninsula as Community Partners - bolstering the Committee's advocacy efforts on the Peninsula.
“Working alongside local government is crucial in our advocacy efforts here on the Peninsula, and we’re delighted Frankston City council will join Mornington Peninsula Shire council as a Community Partner of the Committee for Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula", said Josh Sinclair - CFMP CEO.
"The City of Frankston and the Committee have many shared objectives that require cooperation in our advocacy efforts – and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
Chisholm Institute join the Committee alongside Monash University as the region's key tertiary education providers.
"Improving access to education and improving education outcomes in our region is crucial to the success of the Peninsula over the next few decades, and it's so important for local advocacy to be unified in this space", said Mr Sinclair.
"The Victorian Government has contributed significant funding to upgrades at Chisholm's Frankston campus which have given local residents more options for further education, providing better job opportunities and the ability to learn valuable new skills. Upgrades have been crucial in these pursuits, and we'll be looking at ways we can further advocate for government funding at Chisholm's Rosebud campus, so the Southern Peninsula can also benefit from investment in TAFE."
"We really look forward to working with Chisholm in advocating for better education outcomes for all Mornington Peninsula and Frankston students."
