Frankston Hospital Redevelopment: 1 year to go!
One year away from its expected building completion, the $1.1 billion Frankston Hospital redevelopment will deliver crucial care, better services, and first-class facilities for Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.
On Monday, 21 October, both CFMP CEO Josh Sinclair and CFMP board member/Bays Healthcare CEO, Jade Phelan, were given a tour of the substantial redevelopment by Peninsula Health CEO, Helen Cooper.

A long time in the planning, the redevelopment is now really taking shape.
It was so impressive to see the size and scale of the main entrance floors and 'canopy' beams, the radiology suites, theatre suites, maternity ward and mental health. The mental health ward is the most substantial, covering almost the entire footprint of the new build across one level.
Congratulations to Peninsula Health, Lendlease and Exemplar Health for their fast progress and commitment to detail and function.
A lot of the spaces we saw today look to enhance the experience for both patients, staff and visitors.
Thank you to Committee Community Partner Member, Peninsula Health, for facilitating today's tour.
We look forward to seeing the newly redeveloped Frankston Hospital opening to the public in January 2026!
You can read more about what the new site will feature here.
Meanwhile, the Committee will continue to advocate for the very best healthcare for all Mornington Peninsula residents.
This includes our ongoing advocacy for a commitment to redevelop Rosebud Hospital for use by Southern Peninsula and Westernport residents.
